GIVE A LIBERAL A HISTORY LESSON
My God, the liberals just don’t get it. Already the blame America first crowd is crowing that the attacks in London are a result of our action in Iraq. This emphasizes that the left not only is completely without common sense but that they ignore world history. This sort of violence has been going on far longer than the war in Iraq and appeasement has never been successful in preventing it. These terrorists have sworn to destroy western civilization simply because we are different. They don’t care if you are liberal or conservative, adult or child, white or black. They are only interested in their own perverted beliefs of what the world should be like and invariably it is for all others to do as they say. These people cannot be reasoned with, nor can they be bought off, the only solution is to hunt them down like the animals they are and utterly destroy them.
President Bush is exactly correct in his policy to spread freedom and democracy. Free people do not breed wide spread terrorist movements. The terrorists abhor freedom for this very reason. They know that a free society in Iraq and Afghanistan is the beginning of the end for their movement. The Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and Ted Kennedy crowd, not to mention our “main stream” media would have you believe that we are creating more terrorists and are actually less safe because of our aggressive action against the terrorists. Again history proves them wrong. Jimmy Carter’s toothless and feel good foreign policies led to American hostages being held for over a year in Iran and created a terrorist state that exists to this day. It was no coincidence that the hostages were granted release shortly after Reagan became president. The only thing Carter had to do with the release was losing the election. Bill Clinton does the old cut and run in Mogadishu and Bin Laden declares that America is a paper tiger, without the will to fight, setting off a series of attacks against American interests world wide culminating in the events of 9/11. Since President Bush initiated the war on terror there have been no substantial attacks on our interests outside of the war zone. Clinton became a liberal hero by virtually single handedly creating a nuclear threat in North Korea. He gave them 2 reactors and the fuel for them in return for a promise not to seek nuclear weapons. This is like offering a crack addict a thousand dollars if he will promise not to spend it on drugs. After seeing how well this worked out John Kerry, during his thankfully failed presidential campaign, suggested ending the nuclear standoff with Iran by using this same policy. Fucking brilliant!
History is replete with similar examples. Any person that looks at the history of mankind will find that extremists and fanatics are simply emboldened if given their way. It is no different than the schoolyard bully of your youth. He would continue to bully and get worse and worse until someone finally stood up to him and put him in his place. We must not forget the lessons of history. We must not allow the left, in its ongoing effort to reacquire power, to subvert our will. It is absolutely ludicrous to think that the current action in Iraq is not a direct result of the 9/11 attack and is most defiantly the front line in the war on terror. It is unbelievable that anyone could look at the history of the previous regime in Iraq and deny that he was involved in terrorism. There is a huge amount of evidence supporting this that the left entirely ignores. I am tired of hearing the left say things like “As you sew so shall you reap” in an effort to demonstrate that we are creating more danger for ourselves. Why do these people believe that these parables apply exclusively to us and not to the terrorists? They have sewn violence and hatred throughout the world and need to reap destruction as their reward.
In addition to the ridiculous positions the liberals are taking concerning the war on terror they are trashing the Constitution at home. We have the Supreme Court ruling against personal property rights and Pelosi comparing this to a pronouncement from god. (That is not an exaggeration but a quote.) A Washington State Judge has now thrown out the first amendment right of free speech in an effort to silence (conservative) talk radio and you will not hear a peep from the left unless and until this ruling is applied to the print (read as liberal) media. I could fill many pages with examples of the courts creating rights that simply are not specifically addressed in the Constitution in spite of the fact that it confers those rights to the jurisdiction of the states. My good friend Logicdoc came up with a brilliant solution to the problems we have now in the senate, return the appointment of senators to the state legislature as the founders intended. I think we would have a lot less political grandstanding from people that have to convince the legislature of the state they represent than from people trying to garner publicity to get re-elected. I believe we should also initiate term limits on all federal representatives. This country was intended to be governed “by the people” not by life long professional politicians. People like Teddy Traitor, oops I mean Kennedy, and Robert Bird are dinosaurs that should have been retired long ago.
It is long past time that the liberal movement in this country is swept from all power. They need to be relegated to histories dust bin and never again given serious power. They simply cannot be trusted to protect our interests. When things get difficult they have no ideas beyond silencing their critics and surrendering to their enemies. It’s no wonder that they hold the French in such high esteem. After all, with Republicans like John McCain who really needs a Democrat?
