Let’s take this point-by-point:
- Bush will bring back the draft. This is a lie. President Bush, Vice President Cheney, and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld have all said multiple times that there will be no draft. The leaders of the armed forces have said that they don’t want or need a draft. The only mention of a draft has been in two different congressional bills, both sponsored by democrats and overwhelmingly defeated with the only two votes in favor again both democrats.
- Bush policy will bankrupt social security. This is definitely misinformation bordering on an outright lie. President Bush has a plan to allow younger Americans to establish private retirement accounts, opting out of the current system. He has repeatedly stated that no changes will be made to the current system for those already vested. I’ve read reports that favor this method and those that don’t, but none written by anyone qualified to give an opinion that says this plan will bankrupt social security. Besides, does anybody out there really believe that congress is going to let the social security checks stop?
- The Bush tax cuts benefit only the rich. Yet more misinformation from the democrat smear machine. IRS statistics show that the top 20% of wage earners pay 80% of all income taxes. And the top 50% pays over 94% of all income taxes. Given this fact when you take an across the board tax cut the ones who have historically paid the most taxes will get the biggest breaks. John Kerry would have you believe that he is only going to raise taxes on the top 2% of the population, those that earn over $200k a year. What Kerry neglects to mention is that the 2% figure he spouts counts only those individuals that report a personal income of over $200k. It does not include the thousands of subchapter S- Corps that pay taxes at the individual rates. Further he states he will enact an across the board 5% corporate tax cut, if you don’t remember this check the 3rd debate. So Kerry has promised to raise taxes on thousands of small businesses like the mine, and give the money to the major corporations that already have huge advantages over the small independent business. And this is going to benefit the “Little Guy” that he claims to champion? I promise that I am no where near the top 2% of income earners but this policy will, beyond any doubt, raise my taxes. Kerry is naïve if he believes this will create jobs. All a 5% tax cut on Corporations will accomplish is to give the fat cats a big year-end bonus. It is no wonder that the very rich in this country and most of the big corporations now support the Democratic Party. If you don’t believe me look at the donor lists, they are a matter of public record. There is no Republican equivalent to George Soros. As a side note here you should remember that these people aren’t really pro-Kerry but rather anti-Bush. My effective tax rate under the Clinton tax code was over 15%, last year under the Bush tax code it was less than 12%.
- The Republican Party is conspiring to disenfranchise black voters. I have heard Jesse Jackson repeatedly call Florida “The scene of the crime” claiming that 1,000,000 black voters were disenfranchised. When pressed for examples he can’t name a single instance. I live in Florida. There have been no expose’ news stories on anybody who was prevented from voting. There have been no charges filed in any instance of a voter being disenfranchised. And, to top off the hypocrisy, all of the counties where they had any controversy were controlled by Democrats with one exception, and that one was controlled by a registered independent. In no instance was there any evidence of any action by any republican to disenfranchise anyone. They continue to make a stink about the voting methods and machines that were used, but they had no problem with these same machines when they were used to elect Bill Clinton. The only effort to disenfranchise voters in Florida in 2000 was an effort to have the absentee ballets, primarily from our armed forces overseas, discredited and that was a Democrat strategy. As soon as early voting started this month, the Democrats started screaming “Voter Fraud” and “Voter Intimidation” but so far there has been absolutely no evidence of any wrongdoing. The Democrats have already stated that if the election is close they will declare Kerry the winner and challenge any result that disagrees. The Democrats are also leading the charge to allow questionable people to cast votes, the use of provisional ballets, and in some areas even allowing non-citizens to vote. All of this, and they accuse the Republicans of trying to steal an election? Remember when the losing candidate graciously bowed out? No more. The Democrats are so arrogant that they believe the only possibility for a loss is if the Republicans cheat. And since they also largely believe that already happened in 2000, contrary to all of the evidence, they are justifying their own actions along these lines.
- Bush lied about Iraq WMD. Again, what a hypocritical lie this is. Virtually everybody, including John Kerry, believed Iraq had WMD. The information came not only from our own intelligence agency but also from those of Britain, France, Russia, and the neighboring states of Iraq. Even the Clinton administration said Iraq had WMD. I think we should be worried about where they went, not if they existed.
- John Kerry has maintained one constant position on Iraq. This is such a huge and documented lie that I won’t waste time re-hashing it. Go look at www.kerryoniraq.com I admit this is a republican web site but the video is all Kerry.
If this isn’t enough to convince you not to vote for Kerry, how can any American vote for a man that has consistently trashed our country? His testimonies to congress in 1971 were at least an exaggeration and at worst a complete lie. If you believe that he told the truth then, and still want to vote for him now, you are voting for a self-admitted war criminal.
Disinformation, voter fraud, and lies about their opponents. Sound familiar? And radical democrats dare to use a swastika in anti-Bush slogans! This is not the manner in which most of the Democrats I know behave. I would love to participate in open honest debate of the issues but the Democratic Party has no intention of allowing this. While claiming to want to bring people together they continue to drive wedges into our society, black vs. white, rich vs. poor, and Republican vs. Democrat. The Democratic Party is the party that believes there are 2 Americas. It is time that the honest Democrats take back control of their party and oust the likes of Michael Moore, Ted Kennedy, and Terry McCauliffe, who could care less about the wishes of the electorate in this country. These people believe that most people in this country are incapable of making intelligent decisions and the only concern they have is to hold power. Remember that after 2000 this is the party that stated they would “take any action necessary” to insure a Democratic victory in ’04. It is Apparent it will be regardless of how the actual vote goes.
The Republican Party may not be perfect, but they are not the ones trying to scare and divide this country. They are the party that through history, in spite of the Democrats propaganda saying the opposite, has consistently come down on the side of small business and lower taxes. Republicans share firm belief that government should be smaller, so as not to interfere with people handling their own affairs. Republicans believe that the people should not be subjected to the whims of some liberal judge that decides all by himself what is good for us and our children.
Do you believe that our society has gone too far in removing God from our lives and society? Do you believe that you are more capable of handling your own finances than the government? Do you believe that you should have more say in the education of your child? Do you believe freedom of religion does not equal freedom from religion? Do you believe that your success should be limited only by your willingness to work smart and hard? Do you believe that the government is already too intrusive?
If you answer yes to all or most of these questions, welcome to the Republican Party.

If you believe that the extremely wealthy John Kerry, who has never known the pressures of having to meet expenses and payroll, who has never had to concern himself with where the next paycheck or meal will come from, and who has never know the stress that comes from being self-employed, truly understands what the middle class of this country needs, than you are the sheep that the Democratic Party believes you to be.
