The Great Divide |

I’ve been sitting back watching the Democrats and the Media this election cycle and just kept shaking my head in disbelief. Now that the election is over, and President Bush has been re-elected, I thought that maybe the Democrats and their willing accomplices in the Media would step back and rethink their next move, but obviously I was mistaken. It amazes me that they have the gall to come out and say that the President must try to heal the divide in our nation. They act as if this problem is one that the current administration created. They couldn’t be further from the truth. |

The divide in our nation has been caused by the Democrats and the Media. Together, they have worked at irritating and inflaming various groups of individuals in this nation to generate anger with the current administration. They did this so they could use that anger as a launching point for the Democratic campaign for President. The Media did nothing but produce stories and articles that show the President and his administration in a negative light. They continue to do so, on a regular basis. They also kept after any issue that they could corrupt for their own agendas, while ignoring all of the issues they should have been investigating around the Democratic candidates. If they were truly interested in the truth, they would investigate all aspects of both parties candidates, and report what they found. It is obvious that they weren’t interested in telling the truth, because they ignored so much of it when it came to the Democratic party. This is nothing new from the Media and the Democrats, but it has certainly gotten worse in the last few years. The majority of the current Media is nothing more than an extension of the Democratic party. If you can’t see this, you are not paying attention. It is not that complicated of an issue if you look with an objective view. Senator Kerry was given a pass on many things in this last election cycle. Why didn’t the Media investigate his discharge from the military? It appears that Senator Kerry received his “Honorable Discharge” in 1978, but wait, he left the military in 1972. Why would his discharge be dated 1978? Could it be that he took advantage of President Carter’s pardon to get his discharge changed to honorable in 1978? This information should have been investigated by the Media and an explanation should have been given for this anomaly. Of course they didn’t do this investigation because it would have been bad for Senator Kerry if word got out he had been given anything besides an “Honorable Discharge”. They did investigate President Bush’s service record in the National Guard. They found he didn’t take a physical near the end of his service and hammered that point for weeks. The Democrats also hammered on this item as often as possible. It’s funny how they thought that was so critically important, but yet Senator Kerry’s service was beyond reproach. This is just one example of many issues the Media chose to overlook. It is interesting that CBS chose to do an expose piece on President Bush’s National Guard record. Dan Rather was allowed to use his position to assist Senator Kerry’s campaign while trying to damage the Presidents reputation. The fact that they used fraudulent documents they were warned not to use by their own experts, didn’t stop them from presenting the misinformation. After the fact, they just played the ignorance card and CBS swept the whole thing under the rug. I would hope that someone in the Media would call for an investigation by someone other than CBS, but there doesn’t seem to be any outrage. The Republicans in congress have just let this indiscretion die, but if it had been done to a Democrat you can be sure that they would have demanded legal action of some kind. I also find the memo from the ABC News Political Director Mark Halperin which said to give Senator Kerry a pass on issues, an excellent example of the cooperation between the Democratic Party and the Media. I also find the New York Times article on the missing explosives another example of cooperation with the Democratic Party. If Senator Kerry had not known of the article before it was published, how did he get it into his campaign speech so quickly. The Democrats and the Media worked at depressing, scaring and angering the American People during this whole campaign. They used some of the most negative methods I have ever seen to get people motivated. They told us it was the worst economy since the depression and that job loss during the current administration was the worst on record. They also said that unemployment was terrible and many people were suffering without health insurance. They said the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were failing miserably. They hammered these issues and riled up those American People that would believe them. They fed the anger and negativity and the Media allowed and assisted them by spreading their lies and misinformation. If the Media had been worthy of their job titles, they would have investigated the issues the Democrats put forth and found them to be false or half truths. But the Media did not report both sides of the story. They instead reported what the Democrats spewed forth and never tried to be fair and balanced. I don’t really expect them to change, I expect that at some point in the future they will have so few readers or viewers, they won’t be able to sell advertising. This will cause them to change or go out of business. I expect there will be some organizations that can’t change because they don’t know how. Those organizations will cease to exist. The rest will modify their news coverage to increase their readers and viewers so they can become solvent again. I look forward to the day when it happens. Until then, I can be gratified by knowing that the majority of Americans did not believe the Democratic spew that the Media put forth. Because of this, President Bush was re-elected and those of us who knew the truth have triumphed. The Great Divide was created by the Democrats and the Media. I don’t believe there is any need to mend it. Let the Democrats and the Media figure out how to fix it. They created it. In the meantime, the Democrats need to sit back and assist from the sidelines. They didn’t win, and the last time I checked in this country, majority rules. To those who say we need to move towards those that supported Senator Kerry and his views, I say NO. I didn’t see the Democrats trying to appease the Republican voters after either of President Clintons victories. It is the Republican Party’s turn to run the country and determine its agenda. Hold firmly to the reins President Bush. |
